Semarang, May 26, 2026 – As part of its acceleration toward becoming a World Class University (WCU), Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) has once again achieved an outstanding milestone on the global stage. Yudi Eko Windarto, S.T., M.Kom., a lecturer from the Department of Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering UNDIP, together with Ma’aruf Sabili Riziq, a Computer Engineering student at UNDIP, and Evan Putra Suyanto, an alumnus of Business Administration UNDIP, successfully participated as finalists in the prestigious League of Young Specialists CIS/BRICS of the International Engineering Championship CASE-IN® (TRACK 1), held offline in Moscow, Russia, from May 18–23, 2026.
The international engineering competition, supported by the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, carried the theme “Technologies of the Future.” Before an international panel of expert judges, the UNDIP delegation presented a draft proposal entitled “Managing the Engineering Project Lifecycle,” focusing on industrial project lifecycle management based on circular economy principles and circular energy efficiency.
In addition to presenting their engineering solution, the UNDIP delegation also had the opportunity to participate in a public speaking masterclass at NIU MEI, engage in discussions with officials from the Russian Ministry of Energy at NUST MISIS, and conduct an academic visit to the digital distribution control center of the multinational corporation Rosseti.
This active participation has contributed strategically to strengthening UNDIP’s International Research Network (IRN) pillar and enhancing its academic reputation at the global level. Through this forum, UNDIP established new global research collaborations with 15 academic colleagues from various BRICS member countries, supporting the university’s target of being ranked among the world’s top 500 universities.
