Semarang, tekkom.ft.undip.ac.id –Sabiq Habiburrahman Zarkasi, a student class of 2023, succeeded in making an achievement in his participation in POMNAS (National Student Sports Week) XVIII in 2023. Sabiq became a participant in the kempo sport with the number Kempo Randori Class 55 Kg Men’s (Fight), Embu Pairs Men’s (Arts), and Embu Mixed Team (Arts). Sabiq managed to bring home the gold medal in the Mixed Team Embu Number.

POMNAS (National Student Sports Week) is a sports competition event aimed at students from various universities in Indonesia. This competition event provides an opportunity for students to compete with each other to channel their skills in the various sports they specialize in. Various sports in this year’s competition include athletics, rock climbing, swimming, karate, wrestling, tae kwon do, tennis, kempo, chess, pencak silat, bridge, sepak takraw, futsal, badminton, basketball and sand volleyball. .
The match will take place from 13 to 17 November 2023 at GOR Sultan Suriansyah, Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan. The preparations made by Sabiq and the team were very thorough, taking more than a month. Sabiq said that routine physical training is carried out every day by maintaining physical and technical conditions.
“It’s not easy for me to have to divide my time between lectures, training and activities at home, but I try to divide the existing priorities so that everything can run well and not interfere with each other.” said Sabiq. Playing in 3 competition events is a challenge for Sabiq to divide his training time for maximum results.
“I am grateful to Diponegoro University for supporting me, it is also an honor to be able to win a gold medal.” is the impression given by Sabiq. Sabiq also shared his hopes with other friends to always try to develop their abilities according to their interests and talents so that they can bear sweet fruit. “The core track record is having the courage to start,” he said.
Hopefully the achievements obtained can motivate other students both in the academic and non-academic fields.
