Boyolali, tekkom.ft.undip.ac.id – On August 3, 2024, a team from Diponegoro University’s (Undip) Community Service Program (KKN) successfully developed a village information system aimed at streamlining administration in Repaking Village. The project was initiated in response to the need for improved data management in the village, which had previously been handled manually using Microsoft Excel.
Mas Fuad, a staff member of Repaking Village, highlighted the village’s need for a digital solution to manage increasingly complex population data. In response to this need, the KKN Undip team quickly designed a village information system capable of displaying data such as population numbers, births, deaths, and migration in an interactive and easily understandable visual format.
The primary goal of this project was to assist village staff in managing population data more efficiently and quickly. Additionally, the data visualization simplifies monitoring and decision-making for village authorities. The village information system was built using web technology, making it accessible via both computers and smartphones, ensuring flexibility and ease of access for users.
To ensure the system’s effective use, the KKN Undip team conducted brief training sessions for village staff. They also provided a user guide designed to facilitate the learning process, particularly for staff unfamiliar with digital technology.
It is hoped that this project will have a positive impact on the advancement of administration and public services in Repaking Village. The village government also hopes that this information system can serve as a model for other nearby villages to utilize digital technology in data and administrative management.
