Semarang, tekkom.ft.undip.ac.id – Abdul Rozzaq, a student of the 2021 Computer Engineering class, became a delegation from Diponegoro University (Undip) in the 38th International Youth Leader Chapter Kingdom of Saudi Arabia program. This event was held on March 2 – 12, 2022, taking place in 3 cities, Jeddah, Medina, and Mecca. This event was organized by CV. International Youth Leader who works closely with the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and has the support of the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture.

International Youth Leader (IYL) is a leadership training and education platform for Indonesian youth engaged in Student Exchange, Leadership Camp, Halal Tour and Travel. The 38th International Youth Leader Program Chapter: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is focused on training young leaders to be ready to compete in the international arena.
Rozzaq’s motivation to join this program is to get many quality relationships, both from within and outside the country. Rozzaq stated that from participating in this program he has gained many contacts from various regions in Indonesia and several others from abroad. “While you are still young, try everything, seek experience and lots of friends. We don’t know where our sustenance comes from, through what, and through whom.” That was the message from his father that made Rozzaq even more enthusiastic about joining this program.
Through this program, Rozzaq had the opportunity to present his designed application, which was named “Tawassuth App” in front of the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia. This application in addition to providing holy book features, also provides a question and answer feature with ustadzh in 4 madzhabs. According to Rozzaq, the features that he designed are expected to be able to overcome the Khilafiyah Problem that often occurs in society. Khilafiyyah Problems are debates and disputes that arise in society due to differences in madzhabs or differences of opinion in matters of religious law.
“It is hoped that Islam can be more calm and harmonious, people can open their minds so that they can accept differences and there will be no more disputes about the khilafiyah problem in society, and religious knowledge in society will increase, especially sharia in 4 different madzhabs” said Rozzaq. .
Rozzaq feels very lucky for the opportunity he gets from joining this program. In addition to receiving leadership training that taught him about public speaking, discipline, how to put attitudes and traits at the right time, place, and environment, Rozzaq also had the opportunity to perform Umrah and visit several other places.
Rozzaq also conveyed his message to his fellow students, that feelings of insecurity and overthinking are natural for everyone to experience. He stated that sometimes he also feels it when he sees the achievements of others. However, he advised “.. this life is not a competition. We cannot compare our own achievements with others. Because everyone’s standard of success is different, there’s no end to the comparisons. We better focus on developing ourselves and be grateful and maximize what we already have.”
