Semarang, tekkom.ft.undip.ac.id – The Department of Computer Engineering held a Visiting Lecturer event entitled “Virtual Citizenship” on Tuesday (30/05/2023). The event was successfully held with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muzaffar Hamzah as the main speaker. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muzaffar Hamzah is the Deputy Dean of Postgraduate and Internationalisation, Faculty of Computing and Informatics, at Universiti Malaysia Sabah. He is also a guest lecturer who teaches Strategic Planning elective courses in the Department of Computer Engineering.
This event took place with material presentation on the concept of virtual citizenship and how its relevance and challenges in today’s digital era. The discussion session between participants and speakers took place after the presentation from the speaker. The discussion, led by Rinta Kridalukmana, S.Kom, M.T, Ph.D as moderator, went conducively until the end of the event. With this discussion, it is hoped that participants will gain new insights and knowledge about this virtual citizenship.
After the visiting lecturer event was completed, it was followed by the signing of the Implementation of Arrangement which is a series of collaborations being built by the Department of Computer Engineering with the Faculty of Computer and Informatics, UMS. Dr. Adian Fatchur Rochim, S.T., M.T. SMIEEE, as the Head of the Computer Engineering Department explained that there were five Implementation of Arrangements signed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muzaffar Hamzah, namely: Implementation of Arrangement related to the Visiting Lecturer event on May 30, 2023, Student Exchange program, Joint Supervisor program, guest lecturer at Undip Computer Engineering Department, and the previous Visiting Lecturer event in August 2022.
The signing of 5 Impelementation of Arrangement is a follow-up to the cooperation agreement in the form of a Letter of Intent between the Faculty of Engineering Undip and the Faculty of Computer and Informatics, UMS which was signed last November 4, 2022.
