Computer Engineering Department Holds IABEE Interim Visit Preparation Workshop

Semarang, tekkom.ft.undip.ac.id – The Computer Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Diponegoro, organized an IABEE Interim Visit Preparation Workshop on Tuesday (03/11/2026) at Asmaradhana Room, Hotel Grandhika Semarang. The event was attended by all lecturers of the Computer Engineering Department as part of a collective commitment to preparing for the IABEE Interim Visit process.

The workshop was officially opened by the Head of the Computer Engineering Department, Dr. Maman Somantri, S.T., M.T. In his remarks, he expressed his hope that through this workshop, the department would gain valuable guidance, input, and strategic direction from faculty leaders and invited speakers, particularly in completing the required data and supporting documents for the Interim Visit.

The next speech was delivered by the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Ir. Nita Aryanti, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPM., ASEAN Eng. She encouraged all lecturers to remain enthusiastic, collaborative, and actively involved in every stage of the preparation process. Prof. Nita emphasized that this process is not merely about fulfilling administrative documents, but rather a tangible reflection of the implementation of a sustainable academic quality culture. She concluded by reaffirming the Faculty of Engineering’s full commitment to supporting all departmental needs, both academically and administratively, to ensure the smooth implementation of the IABEE Interim Visit.

The workshop featured two speakers from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Undip: Munawar Agus Riyadi, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., and Prof. Dr. Wahyudi, S.T., M.T. In the first session, Dr. Munawar delivered a presentation titled “Course Portfolio Preparation Based on the Obelisk System,” moderated by Dr. Delphi Hanggoro, S.T., M.T. During his presentation, he demonstrated the process of completing course portfolio documents using the Obelisk system.

The second session was presented by Prof. Dr. Wahyudi, S.T., M.T. on the topic “Follow-up Actions and Fulfillment of IABEE Assessor Recommendations,” moderated by Yudi Eko Windarto, S.T., M.Kom. In this session, Prof. Wahyudi outlined strategic steps to address various weaknesses and concerns identified in the preparation process for the IABEE Interim Visit.

Through this workshop, it is expected that all lecturers will develop a shared understanding and aligned perception regarding document preparation and strategies to meet IABEE standards. This alignment is essential to ensure that the Interim Visit process runs optimally and further strengthens the Computer Engineering Department’s commitment to maintaining and enhancing the quality of education.
