Network and Computer Security
This field focuses on network design related to computers, including:
- Designing network structures, analyzing network protocols, and managing network interfaces, VLANs, bridges, and routers.
- Implementing network architecture and protocols for corporate or enterprise networks, and managing internetwork design and security.
- Implementing network security, including basic concepts, threats, weaknesses, cryptography, public key systems, digital signatures, IP security, SSL/TLS, authentication, email and web security, policies, intrusion detection, VPNs, firewalls, and operating system security for both wired and wireless networks.
Embedded Systems and Robotics
This field focuses on designing embedded systems related to hardware technology and robotics, including:
- Understanding digital circuit synthesis, IC families, ADC/DAC, coding and conversion, error detection and correction, and memory devices.
- Understanding semiconductors, diode characteristics, transistor characteristics, and small signal amplifiers.
- Modeling systems and analyzing control systems based on response specifications, including sensors, controllers (P, PD, PI, PID), and dynamic system modeling.
- Understanding bus interfacing, I/O interfacing, memory interfacing, communication principles, handshaking, serial and parallel interfacing, data transfer, digital interfacing standards, timing systems, interrupts, and DMA systems.
- Understanding sensor science and technology, including various sensor types and their applications, and the basics and applications of wireless sensor networks.
- Designing control systems for mobile robots and robotic arms, including drives, manipulators, coordinate transformations, kinematics and dynamics, differential motion, Jacobian, and motion planning.
Software and Mobile Computing
This field focuses on designing and implementing software for mobile devices certified by Microsoft, Oracle, and IBM, including:
- Developing high-quality software, understanding software engineering, lifecycle, prototyping, planning, requirements, design, coding, programming languages, testing, maintenance, configuration, and management.
- Analyzing and designing embedded software systems using various system models and knowing software component concepts, computational models, real-time software development methods, task decomposition, and IEC standards for real-time software engineering.
- Understanding human-computer interaction from historical, intellectual, and social perspectives, building interaction systems, designing, evaluating, and processing information through various sensors.
- Understanding assembly programming theory and practice, including I/O, memory/register shifts, logic and arithmetic, program sequencing and control, registers, addressing, and emulators.
